Artist's Description
When I have visited Washington, I always felt like Lincoln's eyes followed me around the Lincoln Memorial. When social studies magazines came in for my students, there was a photo of Lincoln staring at me. It seemed like the perfect time to do a pen and ink sketch of this historic figure, inspirational person and great President of our country. And, as I drew, I could feel Lincoln's eyes stare at me. To me, it meant I was on the right track as I was attempting my realistic pen and ink drawing of him.
